The beginning of the rest of our lives..
………… if you were to ask me , I couldn’t even tell you how we got here. A place where we owe so much money…there was a time when we were totally debt free and enjoying the freedom that goes with that …but here we are two kids later and we are literally sinking in it but now we have decided NO MORE !!!..the something that has to give that everyone keeps referring to has finally given and we are going to have to tackle this situation head on..we cant have a scenario where our children start to understand that Mommy and Daddy were irresponsible with their money and now we are growing up in poverty …i couldn’t live with myself if that happened ..so this needs to be sorted now before the kids are old enough to understand ….
How do you get rid of over £40 000 in debt ? …you do it slowly over 12 months and you write a blog about it so that maybe you can help someone else in the same situation or you can get ideas from other people on how to rid ourselves of this enormous unwanted debt ….But wait a minute we have some ideas …a plan we are going to set in motion starting in June , to be more precise June the 1st , this is D-Day ..like the first day of a diet ,i feel like i should run out and eat all i can before going on this diet ,but i shan’t , its not productive. Instead im really excited because this is the biggest challenge i have ever set for myself ..
I have been doing quite a lot of research and i have come across some really useful resources out there … now to just test them to see if they do work and hope to be a testimony that it can be done ..you can be debt free in 12 months and you can keep your mind while doing it ..
today hubby and i had our first planning meeting to map out the direction of this plan and given each other some tasks for the next time that we come together … in future posts i will be going into more detail about where we are at and what we are doing to pay this huge debt off …
